Main types of ore and its use

 There are quite a lot of minerals that are used in pure or processed form. For example, ore is a unique natural resource with which we have the opportunity to obtain a variety of metals and alloys.

Varieties of natural ore

• iron;

• copper;

• aluminum;

• lead;

• zinc.

Ore nuggets such as platinum, silver and gold are also distinguished. That is, these are precious metals in their pure form, with a minimum amount of natural impurities.

The existence in history of such concepts as the Copper and Iron Ages is directly related to the fact that in those days people learned to mine ore and made tools from metals. Only after a long time did man manage to create steel, making an alloy from iron, carbon and other components.

Where is the ore used?

Due to the high metal content, ore mining continues to develop rapidly.

By processing minerals, it is possible to obtain the necessary raw materials, which are used in aircraft manufacturing, robotics, electronics, astronautics, and so on. Metals accompany us at every stage of our lives. They literally surround us and are found almost everywhere, from computers and phones, to wires, pipes in the walls and ordinary souvenirs. Therefore, it is difficult to overestimate the importance of ore mining.
